Hurry Up!
02:29
|
|||
Gotta hurry right now or you're gonna be late
Gotta drop the dry cleaning and get a latte
Cause you need the caffeine to get through the day
At your high powered job where you sit and decay
Something's gotta change somethings gotta give
Something's gotta die if you're gonna live
Sit by the lake and stare all day
Even though they'll prolly come take you away
Don't have the patience don't have the time
Don't live for yourself you live for the dime
All it ever gets you is the newest design
But you'll probly never get one cause you can't stand the line
Something's gotta change somethings gotta give
Something's gotta die if you're gonna live
Sit on the porch play guitar all day
Even though they'll prolly come take you away
Finally went and did it you went off the grid
Now everybody's wondering what you did
They can't reach you cause you closed your account
So they have an intervention and they call you out
They say "What's the matter? Why don't you get back?
We're so worried cause you don't talk
about where when and why, you're doing things."
You just laugh...and...start to sing
You say "I'm happy now I shut it down
My brain works again I'm back on the ground
Don't worry about me worry about yourself
Cause the speed of your life is gonna be your death.

Today is Now
02:31
|
|||
Today is now not yesterday
better live it up before it goes away
take my word I ain't gonna lie
I've done some damage and i survived
fashion is for suckers tv's for chumps
wipe my ass with people magazine when I take a dump
social media post your pics
it's ok to be a narcissist
need your followers to like your posts
if they don't you're just a snapchat ghost
instagram's a joke twitters for twats
the only kind of apps I want are ones that come hot

Green Blah
02:16
|
|||
always knew I needed to get out
forget everything I had learned about
I didn't need to be told i did not fit that mold
the only punk rock records I could find in Green blah
were compilations of English Ska
It wasn't til I worked as a janitor
that I met this guy with a really good ear for punk
he got me into the punk
Went to college to get away from home
bought lots of drugs with my student loan
it's where I met my wife to be in the basement of the VFW
liquid lunch garlic kisses in my ear
dropped out of college and I joined the fucking army
got most of what I wanted I went overseas
started a punk rock band with a couple of guys from Deutschland
uber allis the microdot was fabulous
Gernot, Fishly and the speed metal drummer
i could never remember his name

Beer Beer Beer
01:33
|
|||
beer beer beer yeah we love our beer
give it to us free cause we're playing here
please don't make us pay cause we can't afford much
hard to get drunk on a couple of bucks
you don't have to pay us money
you don't have to feed us food
but if you don't give us a little free beer
well that's just kind of rude
beer beer beer yeah we're out of it again
need a bigger cup that holds about a gallon
pabst shlitz blatz as long as it's cold
unless it's crappy light beer that tastes like mold
beer beer beer not cider or wine
shots'll come later cause it's party time
cheers everybody I'm talking to you
and you and you

Black Ice Daze
02:53
|
|||
I can't see the black ice that right before my eyes
until I fall down on my face and get a great big fat surprise
I can't see if you mean what you say even though you plan to go away
when all I do is think of things we did back in the day
we used to say
that we would stay forever unglued never need to be untrue
back in the day a perfect haze
hangs over everything I don't want to remember but to forget
Black Ice daze
I feel like silly putty stuck on comics colored slightly
only holding temporary shapes it's just not funny
you think you mold me shape me make me what you want
but really you can't even call me crazy
you were right there with me in the daze
we were never fazed
got away most of the time didn't care if it was a crime
back in the daze
some day we'll forget everything we know
and then we'll kiss each other on the eyes
and start to see how artificial dies
no techno god to bow to use our own devices break through
crush the sheltered bubble
trounce the thing that always hounds your days
we used to say that we would stay forever unglued
never need to be untrue
back in the daze a perfect glaze
glosses over all the bad
amplifies the fun we had
back in the day

Decent Human
02:09
|
|||
you want a new song well here it is
stick it in your head shove it in your ears
if you wanna hate someone hate yourself
if you can't get along with the rest of us
me me me fuck fuck you
whine about your life because you don't have clue
scared of anyone not red blood and blue
lock em all out and tighten the screws
you're the alien in this mix
all your ignorance isn't a fix
go back and live in the fucking sticks
with your guns and your bibles and your hate politics
you'll fizzle out with your inbred thinking
piles of stupidity lay there stinking
bury it deep fertilize some understanding
of what it takes to be a decent human
people will bond with your hot button pushing
stoke their fear and their alienation
merica ain't what it used to be
politics fans the mockery
what are we doing we're like a cancelled sitcom
seen it all before still suck up all the reruns
not really watching but you can't turn it off
all you can do is go back to the trough

Disaffected
02:26
|
|||
no more landline to hold onto
no more hard copies unless you print a few
our lives go floating above our heads
tiny pieces that aren't alive or dead
loss of possession is nothing new
faded memories in your cue
we don't remember we expect machines to do it
so easy to rely until they start to quit on you
what are you gonna do
gotta think for yourself
siri died a slow death
now you're on your own
search engines are down
might be hard to realize might be hard to put it down
might be hard to realize might be hard to come around
what'll happen when we're all disconnected
the world gets big you become disaffected
that's when the dormant neurons start to fire
throw that cell phone on the funeral pyre
and live each moment like it's the last
don't waste another minute in the past
stop searching for that special link
that'll pull you back from the brink

Will You?
02:32
|
|||
Will you or won't you come dance with me
I've got a Mad Planet philosophy
ride my bike home and you fall a couple times
under cover bike cops try to take em down
magnet life it pulls and it flips him
currents flow ferociously
fighting with himself constantly
proclamations insinuations
constantly battling recognition
deviance and insolence
he's in your face with his anti-conscious
floats in and out but he never fades
here and gone in so many ways
pulled some more crap and he got away
he's straight he's gay he goes all the way
polar opposites in his head
he cant stop changing or he'll wind up dead
egotism fascism
white bread boondocks poet blood in him
floats in and out but he never fades
here and gone in so many ways
pulled some more crap and he got away
he's straight he's gay he goes all the way

Swillwaukee
02:41
|
|||
beer blast fish fry cold frigid lake
fire up the grill gonna eat big steak
got a bottle of whiskey gonna get drained
I don't care if it starts to rain
hammer down time starting at noon
head on down to the local saloon
got my pick but I always go to one
pabst after shlitz after blatz til I'm done
I'm walking to I'm running to I'm crawling from the bar
can't see straight but it's not too far
spent all my money so I can't get mugged
instead I get shot by a local punk
when I was walking he shot me in the ass
said next time we meet you better have cash
I finally got home and I looked for the bullet
was the only damn thing I had in my wallet
hammer down time never gonna end
you don't wanna drink I'll find another friend
we'll keep going til we're told to stop
then we'll find another way to have
one more shot

Danzig was my babysitter
03:05
|
|||
Strung out int the sun mom
You were no fun
LA waves...where you left...
To score your boardwalk stash
Summers on the tour van
Instead of making friends
Horror Punk..Looms mundane
In the light of every day
Misfit....That’s some trick...Laughing uncle in a black leather trench
I see through your glower
Glenn Danzig was my babysitter
Pictures stay and pictures fade
In my head and on the page
Punk Monsters...Saved me
From junkie horror show
Misfit....That’s some trick...Laughing uncle in a black leather trench
I see through you glower
Glenn Danzig was my babysitter
Mother............Where are you
Mother............I need you
Mother............I love you
Mother............I HATE YOU
Glenn Danzig was my baby sitter

Bill's Backyard
03:38
|
|||
stocked up for the weekend with a 30 pack of strohs
seven bags of chips and I don't need a change of clothes
one hour to get there but not on the return
distance seemed much smaller when returning to the grind
bill's backyard with the chickens and the rabbits
bonfire going with the corn and steak on it
inside the backdoor was a coke dispenser
circa 55 it didn't work but who cared
was a place to be free in the middle of the city
a place where you reached out your mind
grasped those things that needed a design
